My Oh My, Pumpkin Pie

Every year I like buying pumpkins, carving them, and enjoying every wonderful thing Autumn has to offer, but this year I started a new tradition...

Turning this:

 Into this:

I would be happy just smelling this pie, let alone tasting it because it smells like fall and Thanksgiving. I think I need buy a pumpkin spice candle :)

What are your fall traditions? Is making pumpkin pie one of them?

Oh dearest, my favorite thing to make to EAT is CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP with ROASTED CHESTNUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then for Thanksgiving, I make a PAVOCHON. That is a Puerto-Rican style turkey!!! IT IS TDF! And of course, candle light, grapevine twigs and other dried and natural elements are part of my décor that I so enjoy.

DEAR ONE, THANK YOU FOR VISITING ME with such encouraging words of kindness about my art! I am taking those steps, little by little; work is OVERWHELMING and as tough as it is to make a living out of art and writing, I am seriously thinking of making some "alterations" in my job...going into substitute teaching. The system is changing too much and too fast with no relief in sight for bringing in MORE TEACHERS to help out with the needs. In my dreams, I would work as a sub and TRY to make a go out of art,but in reality, I am a long way off from being able to do that. But, I am in my PRIMARY stage of seeing what can happen. WOW, am I a dreamer!!!

HOW ARE YOU PRECIOUS? I have a new email and have lost all my contacts. Here it is:

Never made a pumpkin pie but I'd love to try it. First find a pumpkin, then find a recipe. And how I wish I could smell a pumpkin candle once.... No way they have these around here.
Enjoy the pie!
Bye,
Marian

A new fall wreath, pretty candles, taking out furry throw pillows and cooking a couple meals each week that involve squash are my fall traditions!

Here in FL we dont really enjoy fall as much as everywhere else does. Mostly because it doesnt get chilly and the leaves dont really change colors, but just following fall through my bloggie friends already makes me jealous! heheh
Maybe I'll buy some pumpkins and try to make it feel like fall!!

Happy Monday,

Hi, what a fun nwe header you have - love it! Have never made pumpkin pie, but wil! One of our fall traditions is baked apples - filled with nuts and jam, and eaten with whipped cream!

I love pumpkin pie and I adore pecan pie. For fall and Thanksgiving those were my families go to pies with, of course, whip cream on top. But sadly, I can no longer eat pumpkin or pecan pie because I allergic to eggs. I no longer eat wheat too :(
So I guess I'm searching for a new fall tradition..perhaps a gluten/ egg free pumpkin pie :)
